The woolly mammoth is one of the most well know type of prehistoric animal,it lived in a period called the "Ice Age". The mammoth was a bigger and stronger version of the elephant with longer tusks and unlike elephants have alot of wool giving them their name, just like elephant's mammoth's traveled in herds with a matriarch however faced the trouble from ice age man that killed them for their meat, wool and their tusks.
It's skeleton is very tall and skinny as most of their body was fat to keep them warm in the harsh conditions of the "Ice Age". This creature is well known for their huge tusks which are long and curled for the males and short and straight for the females.
